1 oz Copper Peace Dollar Round Gem Uncirculated 999 Fine Copper This 1 ounce copper round features a classic Peace Dollar inspired design, combining one of the most recognizable motifs in American numismatics with the rich appearance of pure copper. The obverse depicts Liberty wearing a radiant tiara, a design inspired by Anthony de Francisci's famous Peace Dollar first introduced in 1921. The original Peace Dollar was created following World War I and was intended to symbolize the restoration of peace. Its Liberty portrait was modeled after de Francisci's wife, Teresa. The reverse carries the equally recognizable eagle design associated with the Peace Dollar. The original composition depicted a bald eagle at rest with the word PEACE below, giving the historic silver dollar its name and its lasting connection to the postwar period. This modern tribute is a privately produced copper round rather than United States legal tender.
